Can I install a theme section to my draft theme?

At the moment, the theme sections can only be installed on the published theme.

If I install a theme section from your app to my theme, will it immediately show up on the store?

No. When the theme section is installed from our app and successful, it will be part of the library of theme sections that the Theme Editor has. From there, you can insert your desired theme section by selecting "Add section" in your theme editor, under the Sections category.

Can I add the same theme sections on one page?

Yes. Once a theme section is installed from the Theme Sections & AI Pages app to your theme, it can be inserted multiple times in any page except Checkout.

Please note though that a page can only have a maximum of 25 theme sections, as explained by Shopify's Help Center here: Section and blocks

I inserted the FAQs Theme Section to my page, but I would like to add images inside the answers. How can I do that?

At the moment, the FAQs Theme Section only supports text.

I changed themes, but now I cannot see the specific theme section I previously added in the Shopify Theme Editor. How can I add it back?

If you changed themes, you need to install the theme section again by returning to the Theme Sections & AI Pages app and going to a specific theme section. For more information, you may refer here: Getting Started with Theme Sections and AI Pages app

I installed a theme section from the app but I'm not seeing it in my Shopify Theme Editor under the Apps category. Where is it?

When a theme section is installed on your published theme, it will be seen under the Sections category.

I am not seeing my installed theme when I select Add section under the Header/Footer sections

At the moment, all 30 theme sections from our app are found in the main Template section of your published theme.

In the Header and Footer sections, while there are only a handful of theme sections that can be installed there for now, we are continuously working on making them available on all theme sections.
